The collision- and conflict-free navigation of the
AGTVs is ensured by the guidance and management system.
This is based on different systems for positioning and tracking.
RFID
The Sensores of the AGTVs receive the information
about the track
by RFID transponders, embedded in the ground.
The determination of position is carried out in all directions.
GPS
The „global positioning
system“ (GPS) allows a geographical determination of
position.
Standard equipment allows an accuracy of about 10m.
The requirements for AGTV control require a much higher precision.
By auxiliary equipment such as DGPS, positions can be determined with
an accuracy of up to ±3 cm.
In addition to the position, direction and speed of the AGTV can be
determined.
These technologies are tested over many years and
are used in all weather conditions
and wide temperature ranges.
